Power Saver Rewards
Protect Our Power and Get Paid with Power Saver Rewards
Join millions of customers working together to protect and preserve our power and you earn bill credits this summer for conserving energy during Power Saver Rewards events. Enrollment is free and voluntary.
What is Power Saver Rewards?
The Power Saver Rewards program rewards you for voluntarily reducing your energy use during Power Saver Rewards events, which are called to help prevent summer outages when the electricity grid is stressed. By conserving energy during Power Saver Rewards events, you’ll earn $2 for each kilowatt-hour (kWh) of energy you save. A typical customer who lowers energy usage during eight events over an annual season could earn $40 in bill credits.* Receive annual bill credits at the start of each year as compensation for the previous year’s power savings.
Make a Difference
Power Saver Rewards events may occur between May 1 and October 31, lasting from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., typically on hot summer days. We will send you a notification the day before an event so that you may reduce your energy use.
By conserving energy, you’ll join millions of others in your community working together to keep the power on when the California electricity grid needs energy most. It’s easy to make a difference – for example, you can turn up your thermostat, turn off unnecessary lights, or limit the use of large appliances – the choice is yours.

*Incentives are based on typical customer program savings and may vary based on actual load reduction during Power Saver Rewards event(s) and the actual number of events. The Power Saver Rewards program is funded by Southern California Edison customers and administered by Southern California Edison, as ordered by the California Public Utilities Commission. $40 per summer season assumes 0.5 kW per hour x 5 hours/event = 2.5 kWh/event x $2/kWh = $5/event x 8 events per season (based upon number of Flex Alerts in 2021) = $40 each Power Saver Rewards summer season.
